On the occasion of World Education Day, the Institute of Financial Studies organized in 4 different locations a series of events with themes in the financial field, as follows:
Bucharest
Within ASE Bucharest, a financial education session was organized for the master's students of the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchanges.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Adrian Marin, President of UNSAR, CEO of Generali Asigurări, and Mr. Dragoș Neacșu, President of Erste Asset Management, as speakers, and approximately 140 master students.
In addition to employment opportunities with an insurer, Mr. Marin presented the main challenges of the industry during this period: the RCA law, the law on compulsory home insurance, the need to increase life and health insurance. As a result of the low level of financial education, UNSAR proposed an educational platform for the insurance consumer asiguropedia.ro.
Through his presentation, Mr. Dragoș Neacșu underlined the same need for financial education resulting from the first study conducted in Romania on investments made by Romanians. Unfortunately, according to the study, the decisions on personal investments are based on impressions, opinions of the group of friends and not necessarily books or specialized sites.
The solution based on the results of the study was the launch of a Romania invests program, brochures with information on consumer understanding, including a website www.romaniainvesteste.ro.
