The Financial Studies Institute, in partnership with Transilvania University in Brașov, invites you on March 24, 2022, at 12:00 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case studies, as well as technical and practical aspects in the fields of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.
Special Guests for the March 24 Session:
Prof. Dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic and Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of Firms and supervises doctoral students in Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008-2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, and as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Romanian Association of Economic Faculties (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, including as an evaluator for ANEVAR, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016-2017; a chartered accountant and member of CECCAR; and a tax consultant and member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society for Economic and Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission for “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018, a member of the permanent expert commission of ARACIS, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in economics. He has a vast experience in scientific research, having published 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, including 12 articles in Web of Science indexed journals with non-zero AIS, and has participated in national and international conferences and research contracts as a grant director or research team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in international databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic and financial analyses; models for researching enterprise behavior.
Conf. Dr. Laura Elly NAGHI, Doctor in Finance - Insurance with over 15 years of experience in adult professional training. She completed postdoctoral studies at ASE Bucharest in the field of insurance. She has published several books in the financial field, BDI articles, and frequently participates in international conferences. An authorized ANC trainer with international certifications, she has participated in developing professional training manuals specific to non-banking financial markets. She presents at events organized in the financial market, including financial education projects for students (middle and high school) and pre-university teachers.
Ileana BOTEZ is one of the pioneers of the capital market in Romania, with over 25 years of experience in this field. Since 1995, she has worked at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, serving as Secretary General of the company, coordinating as director the admission to trading of companies on the markets managed by the Exchange and intermediaries, managing shareholder relations, marketing, communication, and international relations specific to this field, as well as in corporate governance, contributing to the implementation of the BVB Corporate Governance Code project. She currently coordinates the trading admission activity and the financial education program "Fluent in Finance." She holds an MBA from the Romanian-Canadian program, specializing in Finance, and degrees from the Faculty of Finance and Banking at ASE and the Faculty of Legal and Administrative Sciences at the Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, and is an ANC certified trainer. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Exchanges. Since 2020, she has been a PhD student at the Academy of Economic Studies, Doctoral School of Finance, with a thesis in corporate governance.
Ștefan PRIGOREANU, CEO of Millenium Insurance Broker SA, has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry in Romania. He is one of the few insurance specialists with relevant background and experience in both the regulation and supervision of the private pension system and in the world of martial arts, where he has honed his perseverance for over 25 years. As a lecturer and head of trainers at an important professional training provider in insurance, and as a founding member and former Vice-President of the Romanian Association of Insurance-Reinsurance Brokers, he is involved and up to date with all specific legal requirements and all changes brought by European legislation.
Cătălin VĂCĂRUȘ is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, with degrees in Marketing and Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Exchanges. He started his career at NN at the age of 19, after his first year of university, and has progressed through all career levels from financial consultant to agency director, and his professional development has brought him to the stage where he coordinates the activity of financial consultants in agencies in his region as Regional Sales Director.
