Special Guests for the April 6 session:
Prof. Marian SIMINICĂ, Ph.D., Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. He teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of Firms and supervises doctoral students in Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and ensuring the quality of education, and as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Faculties of Economics in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, including as an evaluator expert for ANEVAR, where he served as General Secretary of the association from 2016 to 2017; a chartered accountant, member of CECCAR; and a tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice President of the Romanian Society of Economic and Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission for “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018, he has been a member of the permanent expert commission of ARACIS, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous undergraduate and master’s programs in the economic field. He has extensive research experience, having published seven books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, of which 12 are in journals indexed in Web of Science with a non-zero AIS, participated in national and international conferences, and been involved in scientific research contracts as a grant director or team member. He is a reviewer for several journals indexed in Web of Science and a member of the editorial board for various journals indexed in international databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and enterprise risks; sectoral economic and financial analyses; models for researching enterprise behavior.
Assoc. Prof. Laura Elly NAGHI, Ph.D., holds a doctorate in Finance - Insurance with over 15 years of experience in adult vocational training. She completed post-doctoral studies at ASE Bucharest in the field of insurance. She has published several books in finance, numerous articles in indexed journals, and frequently participates in international conferences. An authorized ANC trainer with international certifications, she has contributed to the development of professional training manuals specific to non-banking financial markets. She presents at events organized in the financial market, including financial education projects among students (middle and high school) and pre-university teachers.
Horia Gusta has been the Director of the Legal Department at SAI Muntenia Invest SA since April 2021 and was the General Director of Certinvest Investment Management Company from 2010 until April 2021. He has been active in the Romanian capital market since 2000, working in the following areas: investment management as a legal advisor, internal control and management of SAI Certinvest; financial intermediation, holding positions (Legal Advisor and Member of the Board of Directors) at Intercapital Invest; and leasing, as a Senior Legal Advisor at International Leasing. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest.
Dan Alexandru Chitic is an economist, a graduate of ASE Bucharest, and holds a Master’s in Financial Management. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial market, working in both the banking and non-banking systems. Since 2017, he has been working at the Financial Supervisory Authority, holding the position of financial education officer. Throughout his career, he has been involved in many educational activities and has delivered presentations to employees of non-banking entities, teaching staff, and at various universities in Romania. He has also lectured at numerous conferences and seminars.
