The Financial Studies Institute, in partnership with "Dunărea de Jos" University in Galați, invites you on April 12, 2022, at 12:00 PM to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case study presentations, as well as technical and practical aspects of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.

Prof. Univ. Dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of Firms and is a doctoral supervisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Associate Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and ensuring the quality of education, as well as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, including: expert evaluator ANEVAR, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016-2017; chartered accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice President of the Romanian Society of Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission for "Economic Sciences and Business Administration," and since 2018 a member of the permanent expert committee of ARACIS, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor's and master's degree programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, having published 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, including 12 articles in journals indexed in the Web of Science with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and participation in scientific research contracts as a grant director or team member. He is a reviewer for several journals indexed in the Web of Science and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in International Databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic-financial analyses; research models of business behavior.
Conf. Univ. Dr. Laura Elly NAGHI, PhD in Finance - Insurance, with over 15 years of experience in adult vocational training. She completed postdoctoral studies at ASE Bucharest in the field of insurance. She has published several books in the financial field, indexed articles, and frequently participates in international conferences. An authorized ANC trainer with international certifications, she participated in developing professional training manuals specific to non-banking financial markets. She presents at events organized in the financial market, including financial education projects among students (middle school, high school) and pre-university teachers.
Ileana BOTEZ is one of the pioneers of the capital market in Romania, with over 25 years of experience in this field. Since 1995, she has been working at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, serving as the general secretary of the company, coordinating as director the admission of companies to trading on the markets administered by the Exchange and intermediaries in trading, relations with the company's shareholders, marketing, communication, and international relations specific to this field, as well as in corporate governance, contributing to the implementation of the BVB Corporate Governance Code project. Currently, she coordinates the admission to trading activity, as well as the financial education program “Fluent in Finance.” She is a graduate of the Romanian-Canadian MBA, specializing in Finance, of the Faculty of Finance and Banking at ASE, of the Faculty of Legal and Administrative Sciences at Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, as well as an accredited trainer by ANC. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Exchanges. Since 2020, she has been a doctoral candidate at the Academy of Economic Studies, Doctoral School of Finance, with a thesis in the field of corporate governance.
Georgel SOARE holds degrees in Engineering and Legal Studies. With over 20 years of experience in the insurance field, specializing in Mediation, Training, and Project Management, he currently successfully coordinates one of the Sales teams at Omniasig Vienna Insurance Group - a leading company in the insurance market in Romania. He has collaborated as a Mediator within A.D.R International and as a Conciliator within SAL-Fin and has actively participated in the Financial Education program organized by A.S.F. He is also an active participant in projects organized by Leaders Explore for the Community or in the partnership between Omniasig and World Vision. He has consistently encouraged young graduates to build a career in insurance, a field with exceptional potential for professional development across a wide range of specializations, where young people can successfully integrate into sales, as well as in analyzing and developing underwriting conditions for insurance products and services, claims management, specific legal consulting, actuarial analysis, or in marketing and training.
