"Act for Impact" is the fourth edition of the "Child & Youth Finance International Summit" which will bring together government officials, practitioners, innovators and young people to address gaps, challenges and economic empowerment of young people around the world. . Discussions will be accelerated, shared and duplicated common best practices and concrete steps taken in developing a comprehensive action plan for the economic citizenship of young people.
In 2016, the summit will be hosted by the National Bank of Romania, the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research and the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority, with the support of the Institute of Financial Studies, the University of Economic Studies and the Roma and Minority Policy Center. The meeting will focus on launching the strategy for 2016-2020, which is the result of an annual, multi-sectoral, multi-stakeholder process involving consultations with partners and network members from 140 countries around the world.
The international summit will ultimately inspire the active participation of young people through awareness-raising actions both nationally and internationally, with views involving young people in the strategic planning of the international network.
The main objectives of the Summit are:
- Launching the strategy for 2016-2020;
- Sharing innovations and best practices based on the current landscape of the youth economy;
- Presentation of efficient project models, which can be modified to scale;
- Providing support for workshops and knowledge exchange sessions to promote institutional learning and dissemination of best practices;
- Inspire the active participation of young people and mobilize both nationally and internationally and integrate the views of young people in the strategic planning of the international network.
