The Institute of Financial Studies, in partnership with "Transilvania" University in Brașov, invites you on November 26, 2021, at 11:00 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case studies, covering technical and practical aspects of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.
Special guests for the session on November 26:
Prof. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of Firms and is a doctoral supervisor in Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012) and Dean (2012 – 2016). He was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Faculties of Economics in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations, including: ANEVAR expert evaluator (Secretary General, 2016-2017); chartered accountant (CECCAR); tax consultant (CCFR). Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society of Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). He has published 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, and has extensive research experience.
Conf. univ. dr. Laura Elly NAGHI, Doctor in Finance - Insurance, has over 15 years of experience in adult vocational training. She completed postdoctoral studies in insurance at ASE Bucharest. She has published several books and indexed articles and frequently participates in international conferences. An authorized trainer with international certifications, she has developed training manuals for non-banking financial markets and presents at financial education events.
Carmina DRAGOMIR has nearly two decades of experience in financial services. Over the years, she has held various management positions in operations, finance, products, IT, project management, and risk management. After 10 years in leadership roles within the Operations Department, she was appointed General Manager of AVIVA in Romania and oversaw the integration of the company's operations into MetLife Romania's subsidiary. Following her success, in January 2014, she was appointed General Manager and Head of Operations for MetLife Italy's branch, continuing as a member of the Metropolitan Life Board of Directors. Since October 2017, Carmina Dragomir has served as CEO of Metropolitan Life Romania. She graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and holds a Fellow Life Management certificate from LOMA Institute and a Harvard certificate in Leadership.
Paul Dumitru works at the Financial Supervisory Authority in the Financial Monitoring and Education Service. With a career spanning over 20 years (including 15 years in insurance), Mr. Dumitru has worked for various multinational and local companies in corporate and entrepreneurial financial services, holding several managerial positions both locally and regionally (in Central and Eastern Europe). He is a top graduate of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, holds a PhD from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), an MBA (ASE / University of Ottawa), and is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, certified by The Institutes (US).
