The Institute of Financial Studies in partnership with the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, through the Faculty of Agro-Food and Environmental Economics, invites you on December 9, 2021, at 11:30 AM to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Improvement Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case studies, as well as technical and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.
Special guests at the December 9 session:
Prof. Marian SIMINICĂ, PhD, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. He teaches Economic and Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of the Company and is a PhD supervisor in Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having held the position of Vice Dean of the Faculty (2008–2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, as well as Dean from 2012–2016. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Romanian Economics Faculties (2012–2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field: ANEVAR expert evaluator, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016 to 2017; certified accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice President of the Romanian Society for Economic and Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU "Economic Sciences and Business Administration" Commission, and since 2018, a member of the ARACIS Permanent Expert Commission, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor's and master's study programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, having published 7 books and university textbooks, over 60 articles in specialized journals, including 12 articles in Web of Science-indexed journals with non-zero AIS, and has participated in national and international conferences, as well as research projects as a grant director or team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science-indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in international databases. His main research areas are: corporate financial performance and risks; sectoral economic-financial analyses; models for studying corporate behavior.
Assoc. Prof. Laura Elly NAGHI, PhD, in the field of Finance-Insurance, with over 15 years of experience in adult professional training. She completed post-doctoral studies at ASE Bucharest in the field of insurance. She has published several books in the financial field, BDI articles, and frequently participates in international conferences. She is an authorized ANC trainer, with international certifications, and has contributed to the development of professional training manuals specific to non-banking financial markets. She delivers presentations at events organized in the financial market, including financial education projects aimed at students (middle school, high school) and pre-university teachers.
Radu TOIA is an ISF and AAF lecturer with over 20 years of experience in the capital market field. He was the Executive Director of the Association of Fund Managers (AAF), a member of the Coordination Board of the Entity for the Amicable Settlement of Disputes in the Non-Banking Financial Sector (SAL-FIN), an independent board member of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), Vice President of SIF Transilvania, and a Director at CNVM and ASF.
Daniel SZOCS, Associate Broker in the Corporate Department at Otto Broker, has over 12 years of experience in the insurance sector. He graduated from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration at Transilvania University in Brașov. He started his career in the insurance field in the Retail Department, where he consistently progressed to the position of Regional Manager at Otto Broker. In 2018, he accepted the challenge of relocating to Bucharest and working in the Corporate Department, in the business development area. Commercial Credit Insurance and Agricultural Insurance are his main areas of expertise, but as a technology enthusiast, he has also added IT Professional Liability to his areas of interest.
