The Financial Studies Institute, in partnership with “1 December 1918” University of Alba Iulia, invites you on May 18, 2022, at 14:00 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case study presentations, covering technical and practical aspects of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.

Prof. univ. dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic and Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of Firms and is a doctoral supervisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, serving as Vice Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and ensuring the quality of education, as well as Dean from 2012 – 2016. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economic Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, namely: ANEVAR expert evaluator, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016-2017; chartered accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice President of the Romanian Society of Economic and Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018, a member of the permanent expert commission of ARACIS, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, evidenced by the publication of 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, of which 12 articles are in Web of Science indexed journals with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and involvement in scientific research contracts as a grant director or team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for various journals indexed in international databases. The main research directions are: financial performance and enterprise risks; sectoral economic and financial analyses; research models of enterprise behavior.
Cătălin CÂMPEANU, Deputy Director of ISF, holds a degree in legal sciences with a master’s degree in Organizational Psychology and Human Resource Management and is a graduate of the public management program - Young Professional Scheme. A human resources specialist with over 20 years of experience in personal development and adult professional training, including experience accumulated at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA), he has held various management positions in the field, including Development Director of the National Administration Institute, and has been part of the ISF team for more than four years.
Alexandru CIUNCAN, General Director of UNSAR, has over 18 years of experience in insurance and private pensions in Central and Eastern Europe, with expertise specifically in business conduct, regulation, consumer protection, media, and financial journalism. Since September 2018, Alexandru has held the position of General Director of UNSAR – the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies in Romania, and since August 2019, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of ISF – the Financial Studies Institute. Between 2013 and 2018, Alexandru was a member of the IRSG and OPSG, the two stakeholder groups within EIOPA - the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, participating in the development and discussion of legislative acts with long-term impacts on the insurance and private pension industries. At the same time, he served as Secretary General of APPA - the Association for the Promotion of Insurance - an NGO that developed the first national campaigns for consumer information and education - and as Managing Partner of XPRIMM, a Romanian media company specialized in the insurance industry in CEE and SEE. Alexandru CIUNCAN studied at the Faculty of Management of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, holds a Professional Certificate in Management (OPEN University Business School, UK), and is a licensed PMP-Project Management Professional and ACP-Agile Certified Professional (Project Management Institute, USA).
Tudor IRIMIEA graduated from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration in Cluj Napoca in 2007, specializing in the Economics of Trade, Tourism, and Services. From 2007 to 2008, he worked as a Risk Analyst at CEC Bank S.A., and from 2008 to 2009, he served as a Relationship Manager at Intesa Sanpaolo Bank S.A. Since 2013, he has held the position of stockbroker at SSIF BRK Financial Group S.A., and in 2015, he established the first investors' club in Romania. Since July 2017, he has joined the BT Asset Management SAI S.A. team with direct responsibilities for promoting products in Transylvania. As of April 1, 2022, he was promoted to Sales and Marketing Director.
