The Institute of Financial Studies in partnership with “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași invites you on March 31, 2022, at 12:00 to the Vocational Training Seminar SmartFIN@ISF. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case study presentations, technical and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, pensions.

Prof. univ. dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor doctor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of the Firm and is a doctoral supervisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, holding the position of Associate Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and ensuring the quality of education, as well as Dean during the period 2012 – 2016. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economic Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, namely: ANEVAR expert evaluator, having been Secretary General of the association in the period 2016-2017; chartered accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014 he has been Vice President of the Romanian Society of Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017 he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission “Economic Sciences and Business Administration”, and since 2018 a member of the permanent expert commission ARACIS, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor's and master's study programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research activity, evidenced by the publication of 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, of which 12 articles in journals indexed in Web of Science with non-null AIS, participation in national and international conferences, participation in scientific research contracts as grant director or member of the research team. He is a reviewer for several journals indexed in Web of Science and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in International Databases. The main research directions are: financial performance and enterprise risks; sectoral economic-financial analyses; research models of enterprise behavior.
Conf.univ.dr. Laura Elly NAGHI, Doctor in the field of Finance - Insurance with over 15 years of experience in adult professional training. She completed postdoctoral studies at ASE Bucharest in the field of insurance. She has published several books in the financial field, BDI articles, and frequently participates in international conferences. Authorized ANC trainer, with international certifications, she participated in the development of professional training manuals specific to non-banking financial markets. She delivers presentations at events organized in the financial market, including financial education projects for students (middle school, high school) and pre-university teachers.
Alina CERNESCU is a graduate of Sociology from the University of Bucharest and holds a master's degree in Corporate Communication. Alina began her professional activity in HR in 2012, going through various areas of expertise (recruitment, training, organizational development). Since 2015 she has been part of the UNIQA team, and currently coordinates training and organizational development activities. The development programs coordinated are based on the reality that any experience transforms us and that we can become the best version of ourselves.
Alexandru CIUNCAN, General Director UNSAR, has over 18 years of experience in the field of insurance and private pensions in Central and Eastern Europe, with expertise specifically in the area of business conduct, regulation, consumer protection, media, and financial journalism. Since September 2018, Alexandru has held the position of General Director of UNSAR – the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies in Romania, and since August 2019 he has been a Member of the Board of Directors of ISF - Institute of Financial Studies. Between 2013 and 2018, Alexandru was a member of IRSG and OPSG, the two stakeholder groups within EIOPA - the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, participating in the development and discussion of legislative acts with long-term impact on the insurance and private pensions industries. At the same time, he held the positions of Secretary General of APPA - the Association for the Promotion of Insurance - the NGO that developed the first national campaigns for informing and educating consumers - and Managing Partner of XPRIMM, a Romanian media company specializing in the insurance industry in CEE and SEE. Alexandru CIUNCAN studied at the Faculty of Management of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, holds a Professional Certificate in Management (OPEN University Business School, UK), and is a licensed PMP - Project Management Professional and ACP - Agile Certified Professional (Project Management Institute, USA).
Roxana BĂLUȚĂ is Program Coordinator and Life and Health Insurance Specialist at UNSAR – the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies in Romania and has a career of over 15 years in insurance, with 8 years of extensive experience in reshaping and improving operational processes, as well as in developing insurance products. Before joining the professional association of insurers, Roxana was responsible for project management within one of the most well-known companies in the industry. Currently, Roxana manages several programs within UNSAR, also coordinating the activities of the Marketing, Communication and PR group, the Digitalization and Innovation group, as well as the Life and Health Insurance Section.
With over 15 years of experience in IT, Cristian Mihai is a graduate of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest - Faculty of Automation and Computers and specialized in IT Security and Infrastructure. Currently, Cristian is the director of the Enterprise Services department (IT Infrastructure and Security) at NN Romania, having previously held various managerial positions in IT project management, Infrastructure, and Information Security at OMV Petrom, also being a speaker on information security topics at various conferences and profile events (IDC, OSCE).
