The Financial Studies Institute, in partnership with the Romanian-American University in Bucharest, invites you on March 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case studies, as well as technical and practical aspects of insurance, the capital market, and pensions.

Prof. Dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic and Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of Firms and is a doctoral supervisor in Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty (2008–2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, as well as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economic Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, including being an evaluator expert for ANEVAR, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016 to 2017; a certified accountant, member of CECCAR; a tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice President of the Romanian Society of Economic and Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission for “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018 a member of the permanent expert commission of ARACIS, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous undergraduate and master's programs in economics. He has extensive research experience, having published seven books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, including 12 articles in journals indexed by Web of Science with non-zero AIS, participating in national and international conferences, and participating in scientific research contracts as a grant director or team member. He is a reviewer for several journals indexed by Web of Science and a member of the editorial board for various journals indexed in international databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic and financial analyses; models for researching enterprise behavior.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Laura Elly NAGHI, a PhD in Finance - Insurance, with over 15 years of experience in adult professional training. She completed postdoctoral studies at ASE Bucharest in the field of insurance. She has published several books in finance, indexed articles, and frequently participates in international conferences. An authorized trainer with international certifications, she has contributed to the development of training manuals specific to non-banking financial markets. She presents at events organized in the financial market, including financial education projects for students (middle and high school) and pre-university teachers.
Laura GREC holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics, and Economic Informatics, specializing in Informatics. In her 15 years of experience, Laura has been involved in anything she believes can add value to the company and the teams she has worked with. For over 11 years, she has been working at NN, a company that has provided her with the context, opportunities, and resources to develop and build her desired career path, always motivated by her passion for transformation through technology.
Horia Braun-Erdei is the Executive President (CEO) of Erste Asset Management Romania. An experienced professional in investment management, he has a 19-year career in the financial sector, including 5 years at the National Bank of Romania (modeling and macroeconomic forecasting), 6 years in the management of private pension funds (managing the assets of the largest private pension fund in Romania), 3 years in the banking sector (serving as Chief Economist of Banca Comerciala Romana), and 6 years in fund management.
Ioana BARBU is a Manager in the Customer Experience area, with over 14 years of experience in Customer Relations. She studied Communication and Public Relations at the University of Bucharest, followed by a Master’s in Tourism Management. Her focus is on continuously improving customer experience and refining business processes.
